Keukenhof – The Blooming Dutch
History is rarely written by average people. It's the headstrong types who move the world forward: people who make illogical choices, seek out boundaries and live adventures.
Commissioned by Albron, The Green Surfer developed the complete branding and campaign for The Blooming Dutch, the entrance restaurant at Keukenhof.
The Blooming Dutch brings those gems together in a painting collection of its own. A crooked VOC administrator who retired on what is now Kasteel Keukenhof, an alchemist, a tulip thief and a bulb-crash banker… each portrait tells the incredible story of a forgotten Dutch person who gave our history colour. Those stories show that it pays to take the road less travelled. That's where something great emerges. Then, and still today.
We shot the photography for the portraits, turned them into paintings in the style of the Dutch Masters and brought them to life with animation. From logo and brand identity to the painting collection: one story, consistently carried through.
